Resolving Conflicts While Saving Time and Money

Mediation can allow your client to save money and maintain a better relationship with the other party involved in the dispute. Guiding clients to an understanding of the issues that led to their dispute, I provide a safe environment for both parties to have an open discussion of the issues. • Special education law: I will mediate conflicts between parents and schools to help families get the free appropriate public education that children deserve.
• Family law: At the end of the day, the parties in most family law disputes will have to find a way to maintain their relationship. Mediation is a less confrontational option for resolving divorce, custody disputes, property distribution and modification issues.
• Business conflict resolution: According to a study by the American Arbitration Association, organizations that follow a "dispute-wise" approach to managing disputes benefit from lower operating costs and maintain better businesses relationships than those that engage in litigation. I will help your client resolve general business disputes, contract disputes, shareholder conflicts and business dissolutions.
• Probate: I have handled many probate mediations. When a loved one has passed away, emotions tend to run high. Clients may be less likely to think rationally and quick to argue. I will work with your client to address the underlying issues in their conflict and resolve the dispute at a pace that is appropriate for the parties involved.
• Employment law: Employees who feel discriminated against often need a safe venue to discuss their frustrations. I strive to guide employees and their employers to agreements over matters involving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other employment conflicts.
